Will & Grail leads 5 events at Global Entrepreneurship Week

Launched in November 2008, Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is an international celebration of makers, innovators and job creators.  The event has grown to thousands of sessions and millions of participants in 160 countries around the world. The 2018 GEW events run from November 12th to November 16, 2018.

In looking at the changing landscape of business, and the emerging balance of profit and purpose, Global Entrepreneurship Week Kansas City launched a Social Entrepreneurship track for 2018.  Will & Grail is hosting five events at GEWKC to expand understanding and dialogue about the changing landscape of business as we work toward a better balance of profit and purpose, and money and meaning in our lives. Here’s a rundown of events:

Conquer for Good: The Balance of Purpose and Profit

This panel discussion will bring past speakers from Will & Grail’s Conquer for Good event series together to share lessons from their social entrepreneurial journey and the challenges of balancing purpose and profit.  While business models and impact areas are different, they all share the common thread of seeing a social need, answering the call and working to make an impact in the lives of others. 3 Forces Changing the World

This presentation and interactive dialogue will explore how entrepreneurial innovation, enterprise scale and an egalitarian sense of good combine to create a force for change.  From social entrepreneurs looking to scale their impact and profit driven corporations leveraging entrepreneurial principles to iteratively advance impact programs and organizational alignment around a greater sense of purpose - the 3 Forces provide a framework to manage organizational evolution.  Sign up>>

Making Meaningful Change in Neighborhoods

Learn how a century old nonprofit is using social entrepreneurship to spark meaningful change in an aging, underserved neighborhood.  Through partnership and philanthropic support, Community Services League launched BlendWell Community Cafe to be a catalyst for neighborhood connectivity and development.
